sorry i'm not very forum savvy, but i have tried to set up the thing where i get an email if someone replies to a thread. I'm looking for Mumford n sons tix and someone posted some for sale but i missed it because i don't get any notification when someone replies to the thread. (i have checked the box at the bottom that says notify me when a reply is posted). Yes i realise i can just check everyday, but i feel the internet is better than that!

I would be much obliged if someone could help me with this. yes i am blond. I'm sorry if this question is beneath contempt

The notification system only notifies you of the first reply since your last visit and not every subsequent replies. To reset it you've to login and check the topic. After that the next reply after you logout will trigger the notification again. If you are just checking the topic logged out it won't reset the trigger and you will not get a notification of new posts because the site doesn't know you've checked the topic.. if that makes sense.
